Approved Complementary and Alternative Medicine Practices:

NCCAM grants the necessary licenses to practice the following branches of Complementary and Alternative Medicine:

    • Acupuncture:

A Natural therapy practice that includes activating specific points in the skin either by using very thin needles inserted at specific points on the body or by using moxa or pressure in order to treat or prevent some diseases.

    • Osteopathy:(Osteopathy)

A Natural therapy practice concerned with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders as well as the health implications that come with those disorders. Emphasizing on Manual Physical therapy techniques such as joint modification and straightening.

    • Chiropractic: (Chiropractic)

A Natural therapy practice concerned with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of spine and musculoskeletal disorders as well as the health implications that come with those disorders. Emphasizing Manual Physical therapy techniques.

    • Naturopathy: (Naturopathy)

A process that involves using certain natural therapeutic techniques and products to treat patients.

    • Cupping.

Dry cupping: A technique of placing vacuum cups on the surface of the skin without making any skin incisions or scratches.
Wet cupping:A technique of placing vacuum cups with blood drawn from the surface of the skin by making small surface incisions.
